The Client: Any person accessing our on-line database after registering on the website

The thumbnail and preview images available on the site are for research purposes only and may not be reproduced without prior permission from AA.

High resolution images may be downloaded/requested for purposes of reproduction or layout. Unless there is an existing price agreement between the Client and AA, reproduction/user fees must be discussed and agreed in advance.

The Client agrees to destroy all digital records supplied within 90 days unless otherwise agreed.

All reuses will be chargeable, unless agreed otherwise. Permission to reuse images must be requested and fees must be agreed prior to reuse.

All rights or permissions granted to The Client shall be limited to non-exclusive personal non-transferable reproduction rights for single use unless agreed otherwise.

The Client shall ensure that AA is clearly credited on every picture used. The credit line should read: “Image courtesy of The Advertising Archives”. In certain cases, additional credits may be required.

Whilst AA has taken all reasonable care to ensure that image caption details are accurate, we do not accept responsibility for any errors in captioning information.

Clients must agree to disclose all information regarding intended usage of AA images downloaded from the site.

Our settlement terms are 30 days from invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in advance. Clients must agree to abide by these.

Images may not be cropped or altered in any way without prior permission from AA.

AA does not hold the copyright to any of the images on the site except for all covers and artwork of John Bull magazine of which AA is the exclusive copyright holder.

The images available on this site are not endorsed by any of the respective copyright owners. All products and brand names mentioned are registered trademarks of their respective owners. All logos and related slogans are trademarks of the respective copyright owners.

The need for copyright clearance varies depending on which image is selected and what type of usage is required. Some images may be unavailable for reproduction in certain cases. Please contact AA for details prior to usage.

It is the responsibility of The Client to satisfy themselves that all necessary rights or consents, which may be required for reproduction, are obtained.

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold AA not liable for any claims, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses, including legal fees, arising from The Client’s use of this site.

AA may use Client information for purposes of direct marketing.

Client information may be disclosed as part of any merger, sale of company images or acquisition.

We reserve the right to disclose Client information if required to do so by law.

Other than the above, we will not give out Client information to any third party.
