Since 1990 the Advertising Archives has been one of Europe’s most extensive collections of original vintage magazines, annuals, newspapers, music magazines & artwork from all over the world.

For over 30 years, Larry and Suzanne Viner have lovingly curated a vast stock of these timeless snippets of history but both started in very different careers.

Suzanne’s initial career as a buyer for Marks & Spencer, gives her an intimate understanding of the unique nature of printed advertising as well as the storied history of the magazines and publications in which they appeared. Fluent in French, Spanish, Italian and German, as well as a member of the National Union of Journalists, she has cowritten many books featuring imagery from Advertising Archives, as well as numerous newspapers & magazine articles on ephemera and social history.

Larry began his career as an actor and television personality while his entrepreneurial spirit saw him run several diverse businesses before dedicating his time solely to the collection. This varied career has seen him become a member of BAFTA as well as the NUJ, a sought-after valuation expert for major London auction houses and often appears across the media, speaking on ephemera-related subjects.

Larry also sits on the panel of the Advertising Slogan Hall of Fame, alongside David Abbott, Winston Fletcher and Dave Trott. As a respected member of The Royal Albert Hall he was a key part of the digitisation of the historic Albert Hall Archive.

Amber McGinnes nee Viner joined the family business in 2017, pivoting from a successful career in marketing and events for major London restaurants and world-famous festivals such as Taste of London, including launching Toronto’s version of the celebrated culinary spectacle.

Today she is in charge of the day-to-day running of the Advertising Archives unique & extensive collection of original vintage magazines, annuals, newspapers, music magazines & artwork and illustrations.
